General Cleaning Visit

Helen C, Niceville
This visit was for a cleaning. As usual I was greeted cheerfully and taken back on time. The entire staff from front desk to the doctor are friendly, professional, helpful and compassionate. I enjoy going here for my dental care.

Start with Advanced Dental Exams and Screenings

Just like every visit afterwards, your first visit with us is special. It is our first opportunity to get to know you and discover the state of your oral health.

We begin with a consultation – talking to you and listening to your questions and needs. We want to discover your chief concerns and issues. After the consultation, will examine your mouth using our advanced diagnostic technology. We also use the intra-oral camera to let you see the inside of your mouth, hugely magnified and in color. Children love it and it is one of our most effective diagnostic and educational tools.

Once we have finished your dental exam, we will sit down with you again to create an initial treatment plan, working with you to accomplish the dental work you want and need – at your pace and within your budget.

CT Scans

CT Scans for Diagnosis and Screening

Think of your mouth and jaw as a landscape. Gardeners shouldn’t begin digging or pull even one weed until they have a full understanding of what they are working with. Just as with landscaping, your jaw, teeth and bones have very individual characteristics. We use CT Scans, combined with your personal history and conversation, to help us fully understand the structure of your entire head and neck so that we can plan and map your treatments before we begin.

DIAGNOdent

Screening with the DIAGNOdent

We use the DIAGNOdent at every screening to catch cavities before they turn into larger problems. It is an amazing laser used as a detecting device to find the earliest signs of decay – well before an x-ray could see them. We love it because it can find 50 percent of the decay that is invisible even to radiography without ever exposing you to radiation.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Oral Cancer Screenings

Every year almost 37,000 Americans are diagnosed with some type of oral or pharyngeal cancer. While those figures are alarming, regularly scheduled oral cancer screenings can help us diagnose the very earliest signs of pre-cancer or cancer.

Call us to schedule your oral cancer screening today – it could save your life!
